Trivia[]

  • Charms are hated by many players as they believe it is a form of cheating and that 'Candy Crush wants your money'. This is because charms can only be obtained through purchasing and they cost up to $40.
  • They are no longer available for purchase due to unknown reasons.
  • They are theoretically helpful if you can get over the price. In practice, they can be thwarted by other methods.
    • Charm of Lives can be completely thwarted by adjusting the clock forward in mobile devices, or playing under multiple tabs. You can also buy unlimited lives for cheaper gold bars. In addition some treasure chest events can get you up to 10-hour unlimited lives.
    • Charm of Stripes was useless on later levels because they required special candy combinations or require huge amounts of striped candies. Their usefulness was around the level of a lollipop hammer.
    • Charm of Frozen Time was useless on timed levels which had candy bombs. In addition, you could also pause the time on both web and mobile.
  • Charm of Stripes was brought back as a booster with different name (Striped brush) when Biscuit Bay was released.
