Level 1 is the first level in Candy Town and the 1st candy order level. To pass this level, you must collect 15 blue candies in 15 moves or fewer. When you complete the level, Sugar Crush is activated and will score you additional points.

This level is a tutorial level that teaches the player the basics on how to play Candy Crush Saga.

Difficulty[]

  • If players don't notice the order, they will fail the level. Still, it's very unlikely to fail this level unless you are intentionally trying to.
  • The orders are worth 1,500 points, which is equal to the two-star score.

Trivia[]

  • This level used to have split versions. It used to be one of the few levels where the Web version and the HTML5 version have differences in target scores not owing to update times and glitches. The level only got nerfed on the web version. The one thing that both versions have in common is that the number of colours has been increased from five to six (it is unknown when level 1 had five colours, but it occurred very early in Candy Crush's development).
    • However, in April 2017, the first levels of the game were temporarily redesigned on mobile, causing the level to again have split versions.
  • This design re-appears in level 256 of Candy Crush Soda Saga and is based on the very first version of the level (five colours instead of six).
  • Until level 3387 was buffed, this was the only level in the entire game, including Dreamworld, to have 6 moves.
  • This level was one of the only two Reality levels to have a difficulty of "none"; it was theoretically impossible to fail under any circumstances save quitting and glitches.
  • This is the first level which target score is three-digit figure.
    • Also, this was the only level in Reality whose target score for 3 stars is a 3-digit figure. Dreamworld has level 1 and level 2 on mobile.
  • This is the first tutorial level. The tutorial is not repeatable.
  • Although this marks the beginning of the game, this was the only level with six moves in both Reality and Dreamworld (mobile only), until the redesign of level 3387.
  • The level was commonly joked about, due to having no difficulty at all. Jokes about this level are that this level was "extremely hard", "nearly impossible", or "impossible", rather than theoretically impossible to fail.
    • That means, based on the level-unlocking system, if Level 1 was rated impossible, playing Candy Crush would be impossible for everyone (aside from those who completed it before the update).
  • This is the first Reality level that was released in 2012.
  • It was possible to earn less than two and three stars, but this was no longer possible after the scoring system was changed in September 2020. It was to only make matches of three at the upper portion of the board. However, it was less likely to occur due to cascades. The minimum score you were able to get was 360, obtained when you made six matches of three without any cascades. It was also the minimum amount you could obtain throughout the entire game without failing the level.
  • This level used to be a moves level before 13 July 2021. It has now been redesigned into an order level.
